Klaus Hartmann - Director General

Dr. Klaus Hartmann, born in 1961,holds a PhD in Economics. He also holds an MBA from the University of Birmingham. Prior to his employment with Deutsche Telekom, Dr. Hartmann worked for Arthur Andersen in Germany and as treasurer and operational controller at a subsidiary company of the BICC Group. Dr. Hartmann joined Deutsche Telekom in 1995 as International Capital Markets Manager, and became Corporate Treasurer of Global One, a joint venture between Deutsche Telekom, France Telecom and Sprint, in 1997. He returned to Deutsche Telekom’s Headquarters in Bonn, acting as Senior Advisor to the CFO, in April 2000. He was appointed Chief Financial Officer and member of Magyar Telekom’s Board of Directors on October 27th, 2000. On September 15, 2006 Dr. Klaus Hartmann was appointed Chairman of the Board of Management and Director-General of Polska Telefonia Cyfrowa.

Jens Becker - Director of Finance 

Jens Becker (39) joined Deutsche Telekom in 1996. Prior to his appointment at PTC he was a Member of the Board at T-Online International AG responsible for finance and controlling. His versatile experience in the telecommunications industry includes Investor Relations, Controlling and Internationalisation of Business.

Milan Zika - Director of Network Operations

Milan Zika holds a master’s degree in telecommunication engineering from the Czech Technical University in Prague and an MBA from Thunderbird University in Phoenix. His entire professional career has been associated with T-Mobile which he joined in 1996. Most recently, since 2006, he has held the post of Vice President Information Technology at T-Mobile Czech Republic. M. Zika has had extensive experience in running international projects within the Deutsche Telekom organisation and has expert knowledge in both Information Technology and Network Operations.

Michael Wilkens - Director of Strategy, Marketing and Sales

Michael Wilkens also serves as Senior Vice President International Businesses of Deutsche Telekom AG. Before M. Wilkens took over these roles, he held various managing functions, all at T-Mobile International and at T-Mobile Germany. In addition to that, he worked for T-Mobile UK, reorganizing the wholesale business and T-Mobile Austria, preparing the integration of Telering into the T-Mobile Group.

Before he joined T-Mobile in 2001, M. Wilkens held a post of Director of Controlling of e-plus, Düsseldorf. After finishing his studies "European Finance and Accounting" at Bremen Hochschule, Germany and Leeds Metropolitan University, England, in 1992, M. Wilkens started his career at debitel AG, the biggest mobile MVNO/Service Provider in Germany where he worked in the functions Finance and Channel Management. 

Dariusz Łukasiewicz - Director of Administration

Before Dariusz Łukasiewicz took over his position, throughout the years he has gained an extensive experience as an engineer and a manager by holding leading posts in international companies in Poland as well as abroad.

He graduated as an engineer from the University of Toronto, Canada. He also received an Executive MBA degree of the University of Minnesota, USA and Warsaw School of Economics. D. Łukasiewicz has also finished Management and Consulting studies at the Tanaka Business School, Imperial College, London.
